Sunday 9th November 2025

We are incredibly grateful to our Sunday School children aided by our boys from 3rd Shotts BB who today made up some 31 shoeboxes for the annual Samaritans Purse Shoebox appeal. These boxes will be sent off to boys and girls less fortunate than our children. Across Sunday School and BB, we regularly remind the children of of the ultimate gift God gave to us in Christ and the importance of taking heed of His words to love, serve and help others.

We also want to place on record our thanks to our members and adherents who purchased items to go into the boxes and to our friends in the Shotts District LOL 32, RBP 32, Shotts RSC, Allanton NS Flute Band and Dykehead Amateur Flute Band who collectively donated some £300 to the cause.

With the boxes made up today and complete boxes from our congregation and friends of the church, we will be handing over close to 50 parcels for collection.

A special word of thanks must go to Sean and Alison Chalmers who coordinated the project this year in the absence of Phil and Naomi. They were very well supported by our Sunday School teachers and helpers.
