At Sunday school we began by thinking about Remembrance Day and those affected by wars past and present.
We then read a story together called, ‘Miracle in a shoebox’ which told the story of two children packing a shoebox which would later bring much joy to another two children in war torn Bosnia.
Our Sunday School children along with 3rd Shotts BB boys then made up 30 shoeboxes which will be added to others made up by some adults from the church and soon collected by Samaritans Purse for their Operation Christmas Child. We don’t know which country they’ll go to but we do know they’ll bring smiles and joy to 30 children.
As a church we pray the children and families who receive them might also learn of God’s greatest gift - Jesus - who fought the battle with sin and won so that when we trust in Him we can have eternal life!
