On Saturday 18th July we bid a fond farewell to the CEF team from Northern Ireland who were present in 5 areas across Shotts and beyond to run holiday clubs. They even visited two local nursing homes to lead a short service for the 'young' people in the homes.
The team, led by our friends Hannah and Simon Snodgrass have shared the Good News of Jesus with dozens of people across the district and we are very thankful to God for them as are the other churches they worked alongside.
To see a team full of young people with such zeal and passion for the Gospel has been a challenge, encouragement and inspiration to many.
The Gospel they hold dear is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God came to earth, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless life yet willingly went to the cross of Calvary to suffer and die before rising from the dead 3 days later so that through faith alone in Him we can have our sins forgiven and be saved.
They finished their week with a Chinese meal last night!
It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to host the team at our facilities again this year and we look forward to seeing them again next year, DV.
Our final club is in August and if you haven't registered your child already, there's still time to do so via the link on previous posts.
Our family fun day is in 3 weeks time. Details available on previous posts too.
God is good.
